Welcome to the

Helping Children & Families Association

The Helping Children and Families Association (HCFA) is a volunteer-based organisation connecting families of young children with resources in the community.

We offer:

  * The "Loving Care" volunteer home visiting program, where volunteers spend 2 hrs/week with families who have a children under 6 (or mums about to give birth)

  * Our in-house produced Armidale Families Guide (a 28-page glossy booklet jam-packed with information for families)

August 2020: Some of our volunteers and families have resumed home visiting. We also have some volunteers who can keep in contact by text, email or social media platforms. Some of our regular volunteers are not currently visiting families as their health or age increases their risk of severe illness if they were to contract the coronavirus. If you are interested in accessing our service, please make an inquiry as volunteer availability changes all the time. We are also welcoming inquiries from prospective volunteers!

Stay healthy, maintain social distancing, wash your hands often and look for the little things to enjoy in each day!
